The post for the day was great and very thought provoking for me. It is called Our Lord's Glory On Earth. What was our Lord's glory on earth? It directed me to Isaiah 53:2-3
2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hid their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Our Lord, the God whom we love and worship now came to this earth as nothing. He had no glory, he covered his glory up to come to this earth as a servant. He could have easily come to this earth as a mighty ruler in a huge palace with lots of money and jewels, but NO! He came here so that he could serve the people.
Romans 8:3 tells us that he came here in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin.
He came here just like us, met us on our level. How AWESOME is that?!?
I am constantly being amazed and taught many things by my savior, and this is one of the most humbling. That he would lay aside glory and come like us to us.
So my day didn't start out exactly as planned, God still had some awesome things to teach me through his word this morning!
Don't get down about not being able to wake up super early and stick with it. Pray that God will make you more diligent in this if it is what you truly desire, but also know that He desires us to spend time with Him - no matter what time of the day it is! :) Love you!
